By downloading, installing, or using Kayris™ or Kayris™ Professional (together, the "Apps"), or by using kayris.app or kayris.health (together with the Apps, the "Services"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Services. These Terms apply alongside our Privacy Policy, which governs how we handle information — read both before using the Services.
The Services are provided by HealthCare Analytics II, LLC, a Rhode Island limited liability company ("Healthcare Analytics," "we," "us," or "our").
Kayris™ is a consumer mobile application that calculates cardiovascular and metabolic risk using established, published clinical equations (the 2024 AHA PREVENT™ equations, the ACC/AHA Pooled Cohort Equations, and the ADA Diabetes Risk Estimator), entirely on your device. Kayris™ Professional is a companion application intended for use by licensed healthcare professionals. kayris.app and kayris.health are our web properties describing and linking to these Apps and to our browser-based risk calculator.
The Apps are designed to operate as clinical decision support software under FDA guidance issued pursuant to the 21st Century Cures Act, rather than as regulated medical devices. This describes our design approach; it is not a determination by any regulatory body, and nothing in these Terms should be read as a regulatory or legal conclusion.
The Apps do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Information and results shown in the Apps are for general educational and informational purposes only.
Kayris™'s risk models are clinically validated for adults ages 30–79, and the app is intended for use within that range. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent that you meet these requirements.
Most Kayris™ functionality requires no account, login, name, or email address — your health data stays on your device (see our Privacy Policy for the full architecture). An anonymous account identifier is created only if you activate a paid subscription or the referral program — see Sections 06 and 07, both currently inactive.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, including any passcode or biometric lock you set within the Apps. We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorized access to your device.
At launch, all Kayris™ features — including what will eventually be offered as Premium — are available at no cost through December 31, 2026. No purchase, subscription, or payment is required or processed during this period.
When paid subscriptions are introduced, the following will apply: subscriptions will auto-renew at the then-current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date; payment will be processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, via our billing infrastructure provider, RevenueCat; you can manage or cancel a subscription at any time through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings; and we will update the effective date of these Terms and provide in-app notice before payment is introduced. Pricing, billing cycles, and cancellation mechanics are governed by Apple's and Google's own respective terms of service for in-app purchases, in addition to these Terms.
We do not currently offer refunds because we do not currently process payments. Once subscriptions are active, refund requests are handled according to the applicable app store's refund policy (Apple or Google), not directly by us, since they process the transaction.
The Kayris™ referral program is not active in this version of the app. No referral tracking, reward processing, or associated terms currently apply. We will update these Terms with the program's rules before it is enabled.

Kayris™, the Kayris™ logo, and Kairos Factor™ are trademarks of Healthcare Analytics. The Services, including their software, design, clinical methodology summaries, and content, are owned by Healthcare Analytics and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for your personal, non-commercial use — nothing here transfers ownership of the Services or our trademarks to you.
The underlying clinical equations the Apps implement (AHA PREVENT™, ACC/AHA Pooled Cohort Equations, ADA Diabetes Risk Estimator) are published, publicly available research; our implementation of them in software is what's proprietary, not the equations themselves.
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE ACCURATE, RELIABLE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR ERROR-FREE. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HEALTHCARE ANALYTICS AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) $50 USD. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold Healthcare Analytics harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Services.
You may stop using the Apps at any time by deleting them from your device. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if you violate these Terms. Because most Kayris™ data lives only on your device, deleting the app deletes your local data — see our Privacy Policy for what, if anything, we separately retain.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Rhode Island, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, except where superseded by applicable federal law.
We may update these Terms as the Services evolve. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in-app. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
